Sales/Business Development Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Specialist with a strong background in construction estimating to drive growth in the Industrial and Commercial Construction sector, ideally with experience in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEBs). This role bridges technical estimating skills with strategic sales efforts with a deep understanding of steel structures, PEB systems, and turnkey construction solutions for warehouses, factories, logistics parks, commercial buildings, and infrastructure projects.

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities for Industrial, Commercial and Aviation construction projects, especially those requiring pre-engineered building solutions.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including engineers, designers, developers, industrial clients, consultants, architects, EPC contractors, and government authorities.

  • Understand client requirements and work with internal teams (design, engineering, estimation, project management) to develop customized proposals and PEB solutions.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential leads in sectors such as Manufacturing, Warehousing, Logistics, Pharmaceuticals, data centers, and Commercial real estate.

  • Lead bid preparation, pricing strategy, pre-qualification submissions, and contract negotiations.

  • Represent the company in industry exhibitions, networking events, client meetings, and technical presentations.

  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of leads and opportunities, regularly report on progress to senior management.

  • Track competitors, Construction market trends, new technologies, and client expectations to stay ahead in a competitive environment.

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Business Development, Sales, Account Management experience in the Industrial/Commercial Construction industry.

  • Strong technical knowledge of structural steel fabrication and turnkey Industrial project execution, and ideally pre-engineered building systems.

  • Proven track record of securing large-scale Industrial or Commercial construction projects.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Familiarity with contract terms, tendering procedures, and design-build models.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
